Who are Roxy?
Quicksilver, the very popular make that design and manufacturer Surf gear for men, launched the brand Roxy in 1990. Roxy was created to solely cater for the female surfer. The summer of 1990 they released the first ever female Surf collection and due to its great success by 1992 they had a full range of surf and snow clothing.
The Roxy Logo
It was then that the Roxy logo was created. The heart shape is formed by the 2 Quicksilver logos put together the mountain and the wave. Others quickly jumped on board as they realized the huge market in women’s surfing and surf clothing.
Roxy Accessories
In 1995 Roxy’s accessories and eyewear products were introduced, which enhanced the brand name and awareness even more. This was the first year that Quiksilver / Roxy Women's Pro Surfing Event took place on the north shore of Hawaii. In 1996 two new categories were launched, footwear and watches. The accessory section went crazy in 1999 which now featured jewellery, bags, backpacks, travel accessories, and footwear.
Long Live Roxy
Roxy’s brand continues to grow at a phenomenal rate, selling clothes and accessories all over the world and sponsoring surfing competitions all over America.
